Because I'm tired of watching great local businesses lose to competitors with bigger marketing budgets. I've seen it happen — a restaurant with better food than any chain in the county, sitting empty on Tuesday nights. A contractor who does flawless work, but nobody knows his name. It shouldn't be that way.

I grew up in the Shenandoah Valley. I played college football and learned that you earn trust through performance — not promises.
